The begining of Forever

In 2005 I was wondering about how a self correcting computer system could acquire general intelligence and consciousness. It would need, according to my guesstimate, probably hundreds of years. That system would change with time, having every part of it replaced, extended and modified eternally. You could argue it would not be the same system… but it would. The same would apply to a living being, where every part of its body is slowly replaced with time, something that the body, by its very nature, does when we are growing. The correct genes should be activated and … voilá. Cure cancer and other petty problems aside and you have immortal humans evolving alongside immortal automata.

This is the story of Foreverness, a story so long and so amazing that I cannot help but want to tell. You can read this story in the book “Antes de que el tiempo se consuma”, which we are hoping to translate into English. This story is clearly bigger than the book. That is why I would like you to know it one way or another. This is what the Foreverness Project is about. To help you travel to the Universe of the geodans, the librans and the nubean. A universe so vast and amazing that cannot just die into oblivion.

Come and meet the Council of the Immortals and their panic of death. See humans modify their bodies to become biomata or purify them to become nubeans. Travel with them to outer space to escape overpopulation and further in their two Long Voyages Without Return in order to flee fellow humans and machines.
