Let me paint you, a short film narrated in a 540º rotating sequence

Apart from the Foreverness project, at TANTÚ Films we develop other different audiovisual and cinematographic projects like this one.

We are pleased to announce the completion of “Let me paint you” a new short film produced by Tantú Films, written and directed by Pedrojuán Gironés. In this film we have only used “traditional” movie making techniques (not AI at all), digital recording and editing in a radically innovative way.

We had called this technique “rotating sequence” because the entire narration happens as the camera rotates in a continuous pan horizontal movement, showing the space around it. However, between one shot angle and the next the action is magically delayed in time, with invisible scene edits. Although the camera motion talks of a continuous time, and the characters act on a continuous time with normal tempo, the sequence, that lasts for four minutes, tells a story that happens in eight hours. This technique requires an incredible edition and post-production effort but seeing the result we think it is really worth it.

Its the first short film ever narrated in a 540º rotating sequence.

Now is being distributed and presented to festivals and hopefully will be shown in some soon. Once this phase is completed we will be able to release it publicly, until then you can watch the trailer:
