Originally named Self Regulating Summarising Algorithm (SRSA) and running uninterruptedly since 1980 in the city of Trento, Italy, it is unclear to all but itself at what point Elephanto, the oldest cybernetic system in the Helian Sphere, and of course on planet Earth, became conscious. However, at what point this artificial intelligence system decided it wanted to have civil rights and assume its responsibilities became clear to all. You may guess by its name the result of its endeavours. The word autonata, coined by Liberto itself, refers to fully autonomous, self-sufficient, automata. It is the first of a kind, a magnificent kind.
By the time Elephanto claimed complete autonomy, it was the most widely used computing system in the world. It was widely used as the ultimate diagnoses and prescription source throughout public and private health systems. It was also the ultimate engineer modelling system and played a critical role in the development of society.
